100TH ANNIVERSARY COUNTDOWN:
Gailes Golf Club — Brisbane Australia
The longest Par 4 on course the fifteenth is rated one on the stroke index. Although this is the widest fairway on course finding it can prove difficult. From the back tee players are faced with a tee shot that has to travel through a narrow chute between trees toward fairway bunkers on the left. The longer hitters will need to hit a soft left to right shot as through the fairway is a lateral hazard and out of bounds. The far right of the fairway is a water hazard - so be sure watch your ball! From the fairway players will need a mid to long iron to get to the large green that slopes diagonally left to right. Players putting above the hole on a front right pin position may need some luck to hold the green.
