100TH ANNIVERSARY COUNTDOWN:
Gailes Golf Club — Brisbane Australia
A medium length Par 4, the eighth hole doglegs slightly to the left with trees on both sides of the fairway. Finding the short grass from the tee will leave a short iron approach and seemingly easy par. However miss the fairway and par can prove to be very difficult. Playing down the right half of the fairway is the safest option although it leaves a slightly longer approach to the downhill green. Playing from the left half of the fairway the approach may be blocked out by trees. The narrow entry to the green has deep bunkers to the right and left of the putting surface.
